Guidelines for Colleges and Universities
On-the-job training (OJT) through Surge Marketplace’s Apprenticeship Program is an avenue for students to practice digital expertise and get an online job experience and certification.
About the College On-the-Job Training (OJT)
Students will be assisting FVA Business Consultancy Corp OPC (FVA) and other businesses with hands-on tasks. They will work with real tasks remotely with a required number of hours practicing desired work outputs.
The purpose of this program is to allow your students to help real-time operations while enhancing their skills, confidence, and experience in the process. We aspire not just to polish their job skills remotely but also sharpen their work ethics so each can be ready for work success.
Who can join the program?
The program is open to all accredited colleges and universities, requiring their students to do On-the-Job Training (OJT) as part of their curriculum. It is open also to those who want to gain remote work experience and practice digital expertise.
Schedules:
The working hours will be from Monday to Friday, from 8am-5pm (12-1pm break time) and will be covered for two (2) months with a total of 320 hours.
These hours will be tracked remotely through a time tracker and work outputs will be monitored daily by a Project Manager.

Learning Benefits And Evaluation
We will provide training and guidance throughout the process. The students will be evaluated as agreed, based on the merit of work performance, competence, work attitude, compliance in the report submission, attendance, communication skills, professionalism, etc.
We will submit the results of the evaluation to the school’s Department Head and will provide feedback to the student/trainee and act on the matter, if any, based on the outputs rendered as discussed from the required tasks covering the program.
At the end of the program and upon completion of the required hours, the skills and character to be learned: The use of Google Drive, esp. Google Sheets, Online Research, Lead Generation, Research Tools, Reporting, GMail email, Tracking tools, Communication Skills, Attention to detail, Resourcefulness, Punctuality, etc.

When is the start of the Apprenticeship?
- Apprenticeship standard coverage of the apprenticeships will run for 8 weeks or 2 months. Usually starts on the 15th of the month.

Who Can Avail?
- Open to all who wants to gain a remote work experience
- School applications should have at least 10 students
- Our payment package of this program is P2500 per student for the online setup and P3500 for the in-person (face-to-face) setup, that will run for 2 months covering the 320 hours.
- A 50% down payment is required in order to start.

For Technology Requirements
We recommend students joining the program have a decent internet connection and a portable laptop or desktop for online setup. For (Face-to-Face) hands-on training, Surge Virtual Assistant Training and Services Center provides PC access for the In-person class and applications.
Notes:
- Schools can send their own rubrics or performance metrics if available, for our Project Manager to manage during the Apprenticeship Process.
- If the Monday to Friday work requirement is not feasible, schedules can be adjusted accordingly as long as the total number of or required hours is met.
Important Reminders
- Surge Marketplace has no monetary obligations to an intern.
- All outputs will be Surge Marketplace’s (of the client’s) property. The students can, however, use the copy for their portfolios ensuring the confidentiality of information pertaining to Surge Marketplace/company’s trademarks and processes.
- Students should make sure all contents are copyright-free. Surge Marketplace will not be liable for any copyright issues.
- Students need to send a daily update that will note: Completed Tasks, Pending Tasks, Challenges, Notes/Thoughts/Suggestions to the Project Manager.
- For apprentices who can not complete the task with a valid reason, Surge Marketplace will give another chance after two months.
- Apprentices who did not finish the task without a valid reason, Surge Marketplace will not give them another chance.
- Payments are non-refundable and non-transferable
- Upon completion of the 320 hours, Surge Marketplace will issue a Certificate of Apprenticeship with the following point system ratings:
– Not late in coming to in-person work
– Not late in meetings
